Tangy Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 12 ounces of cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 orange (peeled outside rind and juice)
- 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and place in saucepan.
- Add orange rinds and juice, ginger, and cinnamon to saucepan.
- Add sugar to saucepan and stir all ingredients together.
- Turn stove onto medium high and once cranberries start to make a "hissing" noise, lower temperature to medium.
- Stir frequently until reduced into a sticky jam consistency.
- Remove orange rinds.
- Cool slightly and put into serving bowl.
- Refrigerate and serve cold or at room temperature.
